ALTERNATIVE MODELING

Starting with some inspiration...

To fly can be a dream to some people, but to some others, it may be a way of life, or a job... wile we can only stay on the floor, and unfortunately It's my only choice at now, we can idealize this pleasure. One of the best ways to do it, is through what some ones seems as a joke... But this joke is much more than a joke. It's a patience and devotion endeavor; it's a safety valve to our day after day stress and our dreams materialization. May the above words be a way to define the modeling hobby at all...

It's because I love the modeling hobby that I created this site's tutorial section! I'm trying to share some impressions and knowledge on how to make scale models...

I'm trying to show how to make mock-ups with home consumption product's bags. To do it, I propound some techniques in a package that I call "the alternative modeling".

Teach these techniques is an ambitious objective, and I need to confess I'm having some difficulties to achieve this... But am I not talking about love to the modeling hobby?!

Insisting on the difficult task to teach the alternative modeling art, I present to you my website's tutorials section...

I want you may enjoy my website's content, and if it's possible, please, give-me feedback!

The feedback I need to continue working with my website is to see my job products helping you!

Alternative Modeling

We may normally find some mock-up kits, motors and controls on the Brazilian models market, covering a great amount of materials, scales and mount difficulties... Although, one of the major problems of this scenario is that the majority of these products are too expensive to the Brazilian average costumer. At the same time, regional differences through the Brazilian territory (at the different federation states) make some products inaccessible or difficult to find to the majority of people who don't want to buy through the web or phone.

Our physical hobby market, generally situated at our major cities and at our state capitals (with the exception of São Paulo and other great cities that are situated in the middle of the most economically developed region of this country) normally only presents those products that are easier to sell. Only going to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and a few other cities, we can find a full variety of products. At the other regions, especially outside the major cities, disinterestedness and unknownledge reigns.

Since the Brazilian’s scale model background isn't much favorable, some potential scale model enthusiasts get disencouraged to search what product they want to buy, or what product they can mount and paint.

Without thinking on the solutions and possibilities over the internet, we can see other alternative way to get the modeling hobby at our dreams requirements. That way is through our creativity!

Certainly, it's possible to create solutions to most of our daily modeling problems. In a example, when you start to make a diorama, you may use home available materials like cardboard, in the place to buy a die-cast figure of a house or hangar. You can easily expand the same concept to your models and entire scenes. Although, you will need some knowledge to go trough this step. Where can you get this knowledge? You can start from this website!

Look within your home, and you will see a great amount of materials that with them, you can assemble your models, with the help of some common tools, like a scissors, knifes and rulers. These materials can be as single as product bottles and bags, cardboard boxes, electrical wires and some other materials that you can consider as trash.

If you try, you will see that isn't too difficult to learn how to use these materials! It's because is possible to learn such a thing I'm making this tutorials...

Before start, you must know that I'm an apprentice too. I'm learning form my own trying and error...

Certainly will be persons who will make better alternative models than me... At the same time, may be people who will create new techniques and use other materials. Some people will achieve median results, and others will give-up. If you don't give-up, you will certainly be proud of your job. Remember: the result will not be spectacular at the first try, because they are a function of experience, practice and time...

You can't ignore this fascinating experience!
