ALTERNATIVE MODELING

Mauro Casagrande´s Scale Models

Mauro Casagrande is an alternative modeler who made scale models due to inspiration in my tutorials.

He lives in Rio Claro, São Paulo and contacted me as soon as he got some interesting results from his first alternative model

These are the results from Mauro Casagrande´s Work with alternative models:

F4-U Corsair

This scale model was not finished at the time pictures were taken...

This scale model was made by applying the alternative modeling tutorials techniques and using the f4U-Corsair schematic drawing from my website as reference file.

What I know is that the major difference of this model making from my tutorials lessons is the use of PVC pipe glue instead of ethilene + white PVA glue mix to waterproof the model. This is a good proof of the reliability of the tutorials lessons and shows who you can davelop youe own techniques! It is why you must publish your own developments in this website.

The Early Development Stages

There are better pictures in the following sessions. These first ones will not get much bigger than the thumbnails...

Waiting finish and painting

I actually don´t know about this model scale, but it is clearly bigger than my own 1/32 scale ones.

You must see the cockpit instruments pannel because they´re not simply painted down. You must look at the tires too, since they´re appearently not made with rubber or EVA.

Mauro has achieved a very good model!
